At any given time, there are hundreds of dogs waiting in Kansas City area animal shelters, waiting for their furever home. I believe very strongly in #adoptdontshop. My own pup, Chase, a.k.a. Sir Licksalot, was a rescue. So was my cat, Annie. And a number of the other pets I have loved over the years.
